We woke up in a lovely hotel with fluffy pillows and lean linens.... At 11pm when Katie decided she had had enough of this place. Ugh. Adam and I took turns, with him taking the bulk, until 3am. Her first night away from home, we are quickly learning, is usually a mess. This has happened on all our trips.
We traveled from ft Collins, after breakfast in the hotel, to Cheyenne. We stopped at a Walmart for necessary supplies and a stuffed horse for Katie. Our stops along the way included a breathtaking state recreation center, ft Laramie national historic site, "the vault" for lunch/dinner, and finally wind cave national park. We ended our day in Custer state park.
