We started preparing around thanksgiving for the big event. The menu changes slightly each year, but there are staples that are always on hand for the party (crab quickies, Greer dip, meat, cheese, etc).
I was a bit anxious about how the event (my 6th time attending! time flies) would be for a 3 month old! For the most part, it went well. Katie wasn't the only baby there! It was a huge help that Adam's friend Trevor and his wife brought their 9 month old, Noah. And with only one exception, people who had "celebrated" didn't ask to hold her.
We had a great time catching-up with friends! There is always a nice group of McNamara teachers/staff in attendance. Since Heather graduated in 2008 as a part of my favorite class of students, seeing her friends and catching up with them is always exciting. For those graduating college in four years, they graduate in May.. and I can't believe it!
Katie feel asleep around 10pm, like usual. I put her down in her car seat after her feeding, where she fell asleep and stayed asleep through transitioning her to her room and woke up just before 7am this morning. Overall, she was a happy baby despite all the noise and adoring fans.
