After our wagon ride, we hopped in the car and went to Crofton to walk with Annie and Baby Ben. We had a nice 3 mile walk. It's so special to have a good friend at the same point in parenting with our boys!
After that, we went for William's one month appointment. I spoke to my grandfather about how quickly he was processing food as seen in an insane number of dirty diapers. Great grandpa Doc was concerns but after consulting with great uncle Chris, we figured he was just fine given the fact he felt he was gaining weight. Well YES he was gaining weight!! Will gained just over 2 lbs in 2 weeks. He's up to over 9 lbs. His head circumference grew 3 cm, too. He got a shot, and a clean bill of health.
Friday evening, Adam and I joined his friend Michael for a happy hour to celebrate his 30th birthday. Grandma G, with help from Danielle and Andie, had both Greer kiddos. We are so thankful for the obscene amount of family babysitting and love we have!
Saturday, we continued Micahels birthday celebration with a visit to the Maryland Renaissance Festival. I've only been to this three times, all with Adam, but Adam has been a lot over his lifetime. Growing up, he used to go with Michael and their friend Steven. Danielle and Andie were also there! Katie rode a pony (Adam was convinced she wouldn't want to do it, but she said she did, so we tried, and it was a success!). Adam and I had a beer each and we munched on a bunch of yummy food. It was Celtic weekend, so we heard some nice bands and saw some dancing. Katie went in the book bag carrier and Will was in the front pack.
Katie did not want to ride the elephant. Maybe next year....
After RenFest, we went to Grandma and Grandpa T's for nap time. We then went to Robin Pernia's to hang out with Baby Sawyer! We had a lovely visit with not just the Pernia-Prather family, but also some friends from high school. Sawyer is getting so big and strong!
Sunday's highlights included MUFFINS at the farmers market- complete with a walk to get there, and a Baby BBQ for mom's friend Laura.
Will is sleeping 3-4 hour stretches at night. He seems to quiet down when Katie sings Twinkle, Twinkle. He likes sleeping in our arms, especially Mommy. He cuddles a lot and still depends on swaddling and his beloved pacifiers.
Katie HSA's found a few new games, including singing "skitamarink kedink kedink" and saying "ya bra dabba do" - MattMatt taught her that 2nd one. She enjoys going under overpasses on highways "tunnels!!!" She also likes Ice Ice Baby. She likes going outside and playing basketball.
