This Sunday we gathered for annual Greer Family Christmas. This was the first Christmas since Grandmommy died , which for me created a noticible difference in the crowd. One highlight of this change in crowd was a sort of mingling that may have seemed awkward in the past as the gap moved from four generations to three and there being the loss of a general focal point in the family matriarch. Even though she died in July, Grandmommy had a presence at this event- in her love of giving, Christmas, and her great granddaughter, Katie's Christmas gift was picked out and ready to go in May .
There was plenty of catching up, laughter, baby passing, food, drinks, and family fun! I am lucky to have married into not only a wonderful immediate family but also an extended family who actually enjoys our children :-)
Oh, and the patriots beat the ravens!
