Yesterday, Katie ran her first race! It was a 1K race at Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium. She ran in the 5&under age group. She was SO excited before and smiled the whole race. Face paint and smoothie before, race shirt and medal after.
Yes, she did kiss her medal almost the whole car ride home.
After naps, we went across the bridge to get ready for our race. We stopped to meet baby Carl, Caitlin and CJ's son.
This morning, we woke up and went to the bus stop for the race. We had a great run, dispite a crowded and cool start.
For an inaugural event, it was stellar. We look forward to doing it again!
I finished in 1:00:50. Adam finished at 1:10 including a bathroom break.
