Tonight, we participated in the first annual "trot for a turkey" at Watkins Park. This event was wonderful because it gave us a chance for Katie to really see a Festival of Lights without having her in the car but out of her car seat. We walked the 2.4 mile loop. The entry fee donated a turkey to a family in need for Thanksgiving.
Will slept the whole time and Katie was able to identify some images in the lights. She liked the tunnels and frosty the snowman-s the best. It was windy and in the 40's but we adults were warm by the end. We each got a glow-in-the-dark bracelet, which Katie thought was fun. I'm hoping this becomes a Greer family tradition.
